The story of Annie's Trays

"I was looking for a creation idea with paper lace,
because my students love it!.
I also wanted this model to mainly use cardstock,
thinking of my students who sometimes have a bit of trouble cutting thick cardboard.
And I wanted a bit of geometry because geometry shapes the world!

And here they are, these trays fill all the boxes!!

As I also love to dedicate my creations to an exceptional woman,
I dedicate these trays to all my students, all wonderful,
and especially to Annie, one of my students who has left us.
Annie was a wonderful person, human, cheerful, passionate about cardboard.
What a chance to have crossed her path.

Femme autodidacte et curieuse, Hedy Lamarr est surtout connue
pour sa carrière d’actrice à Hollywood, bien davantage que pour son invention majeure.
Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, cette Autrichienne d’origine juive
co-invente un système de saut de fréquence destiné à sécuriser les communications.
Une invention visionnaire, qui deviendra, bien des années plus tard,
l’un des fondements de technologies telles que le Wi-Fi, le Bluetooth et certaines communications sans fil.
Comme dans toute nouvelle aventure
- et le cartonnage n’échappe pas à la règle -
il faut un début, un premier pas, une étincelle qui donne envie d’aller plus loin.
Cette étincelle, Hedy Lamarr l’a brillamment apportée dans un domaine qui n’était pas le sien,
ouvrant la voie à ce qui allait suivre.
